Further Detail
During the day I will teach you how to embroider each of the eight stitches onto a plain cotton background. You will also see how some of these can appear quite different depending on how you use them. As each stitch is learnt, you will be able to use it to doodle, filling in the gaps, creating your own design. We will be using different coloured stranded cotton to embroider with. You will have a choice of thread colours so that you can create a riot of colour or keep it more subtle if you prefer. You will receive a set of instructions to take away with you that includes each of the stitches. Depending on how densely stitched you want your finished embroidery to be, you can carry on doodling at home, filling in any gaps that you want to fill, until you are happy with your design.
