Accessibility
Ardington School of Crafts makes every effort to be accessible and meet the needs of visitors. If you are a wheelchair user or have any specific mobility needs, please let us know on booking, so that we can make your visit as enjoyable as possible.
Parking
There is plenty of free parking for students with mobility needs right outside the main entrance.
Doors and Doorways
All rooms at the school are on the ground floor. Our garden doors have a ramp. Please go past the main entrance and turn right. The double garden doors are on the right. Just ring the bell if you need any help with the doors and we will gladly assist. Door details:
- Garden doors: Door width: 1.34m
- Back workshop: Door width: 0.77m
- Front workshop: Door width: 0.80m
- Dining room: Door width: 0.80m
Toilets
We have a toilet equipped for use by visitors with disabilities and wheelchair users. This is located just off the entrance hall. Door width: 0.73m
Impaired Eyesight
We are happy to enlarge course handouts for those with impaired eye sight. If you would like enlarged handouts, please let us know on booking. Our classrooms have wonderful natural light. For detailed work we also provide a lamp on each workbench if needed. We also keep a store of reading glasses which you may borrow, should you have left your own at home.
Impaired Hearing
We regret that we do not have a loop system.
