Modroc is simply layers of plaster on a gauze strip, not only good for broken limbs but works of art too!
We start with creating an organic form by design, various references will be introduced either from natural form or artists. The start of the day students will design a selection of ideas looking from source for inspiration. By creating the form in wire as the main structure interlaced with soft modelling wire to make a mesh, this will allow the Modroc to sit on the surface as the outer or inner layer. These sources of inspiration will add a structural delight to any interior space.
- Designing the shape
- Modelling a wire form
- Using technical equipment
- Working with Modroc
- Practical hand skills able to manipulate, change and modify the structure
