Further Detail
Green is at the heart of the English Landscape but it can be the artist’s undoing!
There is so much more to The Battle than just “Blue and Yellow don’t make Green”.
We’ll experiment with many blues and yellows like Payne’s Gray and Naples Yellow or Lemon Yellow with a touch of black and create a whole palette of delicious greens.
Our new-found palette will then be great to produce a landscape from one of your photos or one from Lin’s archive of landscape scenes.
Lin will explain the process of painting a canvas with a warm or a cool underpainting and how this affects the outcome. It is a friendly group and everyone should be able to take some wonderful swatches and a complete or almost complete canvas (about 10” x 14”) home.
