On this two day course you will be shown how to paint big skies using watercolour and white paint to add mood and atmosphere in to your paintings.

Skills/Techniques Covered
Skills and techniques learnt will include wet on dry, wet on wet, lifting off, colour mixing and using white paint with watercolour.

Level
This course is designed for a range of abilities from complete beginners to advanced

Materials
Materials are not included in your course fee. The items you will need to bring with you are listed below:
 
Students - please bring with you:
  • An A4 or equivalent size 140lb (300gsm) cold pressed (Not surface) watercolour paper pad.
  • Watercolour paint in either tubes or pans. If bringing tubes then you will need a palette.
  • Basic set of recommended colours: Ultramarine Blue, Cadmium Yellow Pale, Burnt Sienna, Raw Sienna, Alizarin Crimson
  • White paint such as Gouache, Chinese White, White Ink or White Acrylic
  • One 2 inch decorators brush
  • One size 8 or 10 and one size 4 round watercolour brush
  • Tissues / Kitchen Roll
  • Eraser
  • 2B pencil

We advise that you do not buy any materials required for a course more than two weeks in advance, because occasionally a course is cancelled due to low enrolment.​​
