My interest in fashion started at an early age. Watching my mother making dresses, I was fascinated by her ability to transform a piece of fabric onto a garment. Inspired by her, in the late 1980s, I opened a boutique making made-to-measure leather clothes; successively, following my passion for fashion, I undertook a BA in Fashion Designing in Brazil. In 2003 I relocated to London to explore new professional and educational opportunities; in 2004 I completed a Certificate in Fashion Design and Marketing at Central Saint Martins School of Art. I subsequently worked as a technical designer, pattern cutter and sewing machinist and in 2017 I completed a Masters Degree in pattern and Garment Technology at the London College of Fashion. I am now devoting my time to teaching in order to pass others the experience that I have acquired during all these years in the fashion industry.
