Sarah Hemmings
I have worked in adult learning for over 12 years, as a lecturer and manager. My experience within the adult education sector has taught me the value of lifelong learning and how beneficial this is for maintaining good mental health and wellbeing, especially with subjects which develop our creativity. Over my career I have had the privilege to work with adults from all walks of life, teaching them a wide variety of different art and craft subjects, as well as English and Employability.
I have since started my own business with a friend, making and selling handmade items online and at craft shows, as well as devising and delivering workshops in our chosen fields. I concentrate now mainly on needle felting and crochet.
My teaching style is very learner led, everybody learns differently, and it is vital that all learners’ needs are catered for to ensure that everybody has an equal opportunity to achieve.
I am lucky enough to live in an area of outstanding natural beauty on the outskirts of West Berkshire and love nothing more than walking in the countryside and spending time with friends, family and my cats and dog.
