Inspirations
I am fascinated by the various quirks and qualities inherent in textiles from basic scrim to sumptuous silks and how they react to various dyes, including rust. I love to use simple techniques that lead to surprising results. One of my current passions is applying heat to fabrics and creating unique pieces which can be embroidered or embellished.
I have been a “textile junkie” for many years. After gaining a City and Guilds Certificate in Creative Embroidery went on to achieve Certificate and Diploma level in Machine Embroidery and have been teaching textile subjects for over fifteen years.
