Emma Roy
I am a local Accredited Silver Art clay Instructor and have been working with Silver Clay since 2017, I now have my own range of jewellery – Jewellery By Emma Roy.
I love working with others and I wanted to share my passion for silver clay so began teaching silver clay classes. I feel it is such an honour to share my knowledge about this fantastic material and it is such a joy watching the excitement on people's faces when they see their creations take shape.
My teaching style is quite a relaxed one, by supporting everyone as individuals I like to give my students the opportunity to express their individual style creatively. Though the subject and technique may be the same I love that my students all create individual pieces that are as beautifully unique as they are.
I am proud to have won Cooksongold Designer of the month July 2022 and Alliance of Metal Clay Artists Worldwide People's choice award, 2022.
I love the varied beauty of nature, many of my jewellery designs are inspired by the natural world. I also love the contrasting Art Deco era, with the beautiful geometric architecture that also inspires my work. My favourite metal clay artists are Holly Gage and Ana Mazon.
I love being out in nature taking long walks around the beautiful Berkshire countryside with my Cavapoo Max. and spending time with my family.
