Having practiced yoga for almost forty years whilst living and working in the UK and abroad, I’ve enjoyed sampling many different styles and approaches to yoga. My experience has included Hatha, Vinyasa, Ashtanga, Dharma, Jivamukti, Forrest, Yin, Kundalini, Flow, Rocket and Power styles. I have undertaken additional deeper work on meditation with Neeta Madahar and Body Psychotherapy with Sandra Robinson.
Me and my teaching style
I’m an artist and psychologist by background and found yoga in my twenties with small children and a need for body and mind self-care. I have grand-children now and my practice has developed from a weekly lesson back then to full on teacher training in my sixties. I need yoga to keep my body strong and to keep my busy mind calm and in control. My day job in the City takes me all over the world and is high pressured, and I co-run an art school with my husband in addition. Yoga has been the constant thread of self-care for me, and I believe that everyone needs it in their lives as an antidote to the pressures of modern living.

My yoga journey started over 20 years ago when I started an Iyenga practice at the gym. Not knowing much about yoga at the time I found it be a time where I could switch off and listen to my body. In the following years I have done many forms of practice including Hatha, Vinyasa flow and Ashtanga. I have found that doing yoga helps with my desk-bound body and helps calm a busy mind.
In 2022 I studied and completed my 200hr teacher training in Core strength Vinyasa (CSV) Yoga. I live in Shropshire with my husband, son and Ted the Cavapoo. I enjoy many crafting techniques especially jewellery making.
