About our chosen charity
The Trussell Trust provide emergency food and support to people facing hardship via their UK wide network of over 1,300 food banks. The money raised by our Christmas Prize Draws will help them to deliver compassionate and practical support to people in financial crisis; offering access to advice and support for people to maximise their incomes and lift themselves out of poverty.
In addition to their support services, the charity create emergency food parcels from public donations of non-perishable, in-date food to people in crisis. Food banks also provide essentials like toiletries and hygiene products where they can. Their team of 28,000 volunteers work tirelessly every day to meet the demands of people and families across the UK facing food poverty.
