You will soon become “hooked” on this wonderful art media. Many of our best Botanical Artists use good quality coloured pencils to produce the most beautiful images. This will be an enjoyable day to learn how to begin or to improve on what you already know. With good quality paper and pencils you will be amazed at what you will achieve.

Materials
Materials are not included in your course fee. The items you will need to bring with you are listed below.
Please Bring With You
- 2H, HB and 2B pencil and pencil sharperner
- Good quality Eraser
- Ruler
- Cartridge or layout paper or photocopy paper for you to practise
- A sheet of tracing paper
- One ½ sheet of Hot pressed paper (smooth) such as Arches, Fabriano 5 or Fabriano Artistico or St Cuthbert’s Waterford paper or very good quality cartridge paper.
- A good selection at least 15- 20 of quality Coloured Pencils including white, Preferably Not water soluble colour pencils please
- A Derwent or Lyra Blender pencil and perhaps a burnisher pencil (optional)
- A note book
- A magnifying glass may be useful -but only if you have one (optional).
- An embossing tool (optional but useful)
- A small duster or piece of silk to keep work tidy
- A drawing board (optional - as Ardington School of Crafts has some)
