Further Detail
For the ribbon close book we will first prepare watercolour and leather by trimming these to size. There will be a demonstration of how to laminate decorative paper to one side of the leather for a lined book. Then we will make the holes for sewing and will sew the pages into the cover using a simple long stitch binding, finishing off with eyelets and ribbon close.
The traveller’s notebook will begin with cutting out the leather cover, and then using a range of different papers and card to make the 3 removable inserts.
