Further Detail
Day One : This will be focussed on the design element of our textile – by expanding what we see in a familiar image we can take a different path and explore new imagined views using paint and collage before preparing fabrics and backgrounds which we will need on Day Two.
Day Two: Using our prepared collages and background we will stitch using a variety of fabrics and threads using both machines and hand sewing and embroidery. These will then be further embellished with more paint, beads or further sewing, before they become sleeves for our vessels. We will look at turning what are essentially 2D objects into 3D pieces. Or if you're happy to leave it as a 2D image that's fine!
