Sarah will start the day by introducing you to the materials you will be using. She will run through of the order of the day explaining the processes and will demonstrate where needed. You will go on to develop your own design ideas with support. Sarah will teach you different ways to build textures, and interest in your artwork.

Materials
Materials are not included in your course fee. All materials will be provided by the tutor. The approximate cost of these will be £15 payable to the tutor during the course.
The tutor may not have the facilities to take card payments for materials in the workshops. Please remember to bring cash or your cheque book if your course involves buying materials from the tutor.

- Stretching silk on a wood frame
- How to work up a design on paper
- How to transfer to design from paper to silk
- How to apply silk paints, blend colours, and create textures using salt
- How to stamp using wooden stamps with metallic and acrylic paint
- How to fix the design
- Ideas on mounting/framing and further embellishments
