Further Detail
Begin by experimenting with embossing metal shim to create letters and tiles using a variety of fonts and then design your own background of colourful creatures, flowers, script or pattern taking the illuminated manuscripts and text from books of hours as inspiration.
You may then choose to use paint, use metallic bronzing powders, this background and embellish with hand or machine embroidery. The finished panels are a popular way to commemorate births, marriages and special occasions.
