Further Detail
This workshop will take on the technical challenge of making a lidded jar and a box, using soft and hard slab building techniques; this will involve rolling out slabs of clay. The jar will be made using soft slab techniques and the box with harder slabs. We can also include texture as part of the decoration of the pieces. All tools and materials will be provided.
The pots will be left with the tutor for firing, final transparent glaze application and will be available for collection from Ardington School of Crafts approx 4-5 weeks following the course. Pieces can also be posted directly to students for additional cost. Alternatively students may take their pieces home directly; a small charge will be made for clay.
