Students with prior Pewterwork experience will have the opportunity to choose from a variety of examples for an in-depth, hands-on study of decorative Pewterwork techniques for raising and texturing thin sheets of pewter. This goes beyond the course offered earlier in the year and is aimed at students with some experience although beginners will be welcome

Samples are intended to include as many of the following as possible:

Improvers, intermediate & Advanced (Although beginners will be welcome)
Materials
Materials are not included in your course fee. Most materials will be provided by the tutor. The approximate cost of these will be £15, payable to the tutor during the course.
The tutor may not have the facilities to take card payments in the workshops. Please remember to bring cash or your cheque book if your course involves buying materials from the tutor.

We advise that you do not buy any materials required for a course more than two weeks in advance, because occasionally a course is cancelled due to low enrolment.

- Stone setting (not beginner)
- Filling raised areas
- Polishing
- Various uses of patina
- Due to time constraints and personal choices, not all students will manage complete examples of all techniques

Please Bring With You
- Protective apron or old shirt for messy work (i.e. polishing metal, etc.)
- Reading glasses or magnifying visor, etc., if you use them for close work
- Pencil, pen, paper/notebook for making any notes/drawings
- Any pewter working tools of your own that you already have
- Face mask if sensitive to fumes or have breathing problems
- A box or container in which to safely carry your work home
