Further Detail
During this two day workshop we will be using light boxes to expose your chosen imagery onto photographic etching plates. These plates will then be inked up and printed through an etching press. Your chosen image could be anything from a photograph of a favourite landscape to a portrait of a family member. You will need to bring a few digital images on a memory stick or tablet which we can look through, discuss, edit and print. During the two days we will also be looking into Drypoint Etching – for this it would be a good idea to bring along any drawings/sketchbooks, photos, magazine cuttings – I will also have images for you to work from.
We will print onto both paper and fabric, looking into various collage techniques.
