We will re-create the mood of the seascape you choose in oils. We will use whatever techniques are appropriate for the seascape you choose to paint – whether it is glazing or palette knife painting. There will be lots of help in mixing colours and the end result will reflect your personal style as the painting develops. There is lots of scope for individuality. All your painting materials are supplied.
We have a relaxed and friendly atmosphere and it is not nearly as daunting as you may imagine. You will be able to create a finished painting in just two days.
Skills / Techniques covered:
Understanding tonal contrast
Colour mixing – especially a variety of blues, greens and greys
Painting water and wet sand that looks convincing
How to apply oils using a brush or a palette knife
