This 3-day, onsite workshop is suitable for students with a passion for drawing and want to take it to the next level of ilustration.
Workshop Details
Korky Paul is an international multi-million selling children’s book illustrator. On this course he will teach you how to design and illustrate a children’s picture book and prepare a presentation package to show prospective publishers or to use to self-publish. The course will be a mixture of an editorial-style meeting and practical work in the class, combined with lots of homework.
You must have a passion and a willingness to draw. Please note that Korky Paul will not be teaching drawing – students should have some inherent or intrinsic skill. The gift as some may call it!
Please bring an appropriate story or poem written by you, a friend or a published author, to be illustrated as a 32-page picture book (max word count approx. 800). Please bring as a Word document. The tutor will have a selection of stories which writers have granted him permission to use for teaching purposes. You can choose from these should you not have a story.
