Workshop details
Join Jacqueline, from JSInteriorsUK, in this three-part course to learn the skills and stitches required to make a beautiful silk Christmas Santa Sock with a Crazy Patchwork panel. We will also be exploring a range of stitches used in different ways to create embroidered flowers and embellishments.
We’ll be using DMC threads, beads and silk ribbon. DMC threads have 6 strands of cotton and come in literally hundreds of colours/shades - depending on the stitch and design required these strands can be split giving depth and dimension to your embroidery. Silk ribbon can be passed through the eye of a needle and pulls through fabric without damage to the fabric or ribbon. Silk ribbon can be bought in a variety of colours or dyed specifically to suit your requirements.
Learn all the skills you need to in perfect time to adorn your own home this Christmas or create a wonderful homemade gift for someone very special. The finished sock measures approximately 38cm x 32cm with a Crazy Patchwork panel measuring approximately 18cm x 44cm.
Specific skills you will learn at the workshop
