This LivePlus™ online workshop is ideal for beginners and improvers alike. It is designed to be a fun and experimental course - no experience necessary and you don’t need to be able to draw!
Workshop details
We will look at creating multi-layered images using collage, paint, and a range of printing techniques including gum arabic transfer and simple stamp making.
After creating our own collage papers & cloth to use in conjunction with found materials such as book pages, paper napkins & patterned tissue etc, we will make our own stamps with foam and polystyrene to provide bold focal points for our images. Gum Arabic printing from photocopies will be used to add linework as a contrasting element.
We will work on different papers and fabrics – in some cases combining the two – which can be embellished with decorative stitching and dimensional paints as a finishing touch. There will be lots of demos & step-by-step instruction in this fun and informal workshop.
Specific skills you will learn at the workshop
