Tutor Kevin Scully
10am - 4pm
This one-day, onsite workshop is designed for beginners and those with more experience.
Workshop Details
Students will learn how to use this much-overlooked water-based medium, which can be used to produce paintings in a variety of different styles. During this workshop you will be introduced to the versatility of gouache and shown a number of different ways in which the medium can be used to create paintings using a combination of loose, watercolour-like washes together with opaque colour. We will be working in a variety of subject matter, both conventional and the slightly more unconventional. As with watercolour, you will be using watercolour brushes and paper, but there will also be examples demonstrating how gouache can be used with other mediums. All reference material will be provided.
