ArtTalk Details
It could be argued that Francisco Goya was the first 'modern artist'. His work is technically thrilling and his insights into human nature, as well as reflecting his own turbulent life and times, make for a rich study. Martin explores certain highlights from the vast body of paintings and prints.
Goya is an artist who is confrontational and one who can summon up dreams and concerns that linger in the mind. Martin will use some of his original photographs from many galleries to illustrate this lecture. He will also provide a list of helpful books and links to further explore on a PDF following the talk.
The talk will last for 60 minutes, followed by an open Q&A session.
