Tues 7th December 10am - 12pm
(UK time)
This LivePlus™ online workshop is ideal for beginners as well as those with some experience of working in mixed media. It works wonderfully as a stand alone workshop, but will also provide the perfect introduction to the more in-depth mixed media series that Jo will be running in Spring 2022.
Workshop details
This workshop offers an introduction to working with mixed media, with a focus on Winter and its icy landscapes. Winter is a time of reflection and offers many surprising and inspirational visual opportunities. With a lack of obvious colour interest, the season highlights shapes and textures in the landscape not seen at other times of year which we will explore and experiment with.
During this workshop Jo will show you how to combine different media to express your observations of colour, pattern and texture. Focusing on creating interesting paper surfaces to work on, you will work with a wide range of basic media, such as ink, acrylics and oil pastels, to bring richness to your work.
You needn't have the materials ready whilst watching the live demonstration – the demo session is a time to watch, ask and learn. After the demo you will be sent a link to the recording, which you can watch as many times as you wish for thirty days.
Specific skills you will learn at the workshop
Equipment & materials list
Materials are not included in the course fee. All the materials and equipment you will need are listed below.
