Tutor Sally Boehme
10am - 4pm
(Lunch 12.30 - 1.00)
This one-day, onsite workshop is suitable for complete beginners and those with experience.
Workshop Details
Create beautiful textile effects in polymer clay in colours of your choice. Polymer clay is a malleable material available in a rainbow of (mixable) colours that is cured in a domestic oven. You will learn how to use this versatile material to create an effect imitating frayed or stitched fabric (I have been told it looks like both!). Creating a blend of colours, this effect can be used to create flat, spiral pieces for jewellery, card decorations, buttons and more or to cover beads. The effect can also be smoothed to provide a painterly texture. Experiment with colour, shapes and sizes that will be unique! Full, step-by-step demonstration will be provided, along with a printed handout to take home.
Skills/Techniques Covered
Materials
Materials are not included in your booking fee. All materials will be provided by the tutor. The approximate cost of these will be £10, payable to the tutor during the class
Students - please bring with you:
Wet wipes
We advise that you do not buy any materials required for a course more than two weeks in advance, because occasionally a course is cancelled due to low enrolment.
