Tutor: Pat Southern-Pearce
Mon 24th January 2pm - 3:30pm workshop demo with Q&A
(UK timings)
This LivePlus™ online workshop is suitable for students of all levels. This introductory class can be taken in preparation for Pat's other Sketching in Beautiful Blues workshops or as a stand-alone class.
Workshop details
The first in a BRAND NEW series of sketching workshops with Pat Southern-Pearce, this is a fun, experimental, learn-a-lot, confidence building workshop.
It’s all about Blues, Beautiful Blues! But….there’ll be other colours in the mix, too, here and there, to heighten your awareness of what’s possible.
It’s all about materials: markers, watercolour pencils, gel pens, watercolour crayons, chalk markers. What you can do with them, individually or with each other, and how they look and respond on different backgrounds.
Offering elements of 'work-along with Pat' and elements of 'watch and learn', this exciting sketching workshop will see a steady build up of skills (sequential and non-threatening…!) to have you very quickly smiling and saying “Yes!! I can do this!! Wow!!"
After the demo you will be sent a link to the recording, which you can watch and sketch along with as many times as you wish for thirty days.
Specific skills you will learn at the workshop
Equipment & materials list
Materials are not included in the course fee. All the materials and equipment you will need are listed below.
Plus, Pat recommends any / all of the following for those that would like to add to their materials:
Links to suppliers
Amazon UK - Peter Pauper watercolour crayons
Jacksons Arts online - Caran D’Ache & Holbein pencils available to purchase singly
Hobbycraft - POSCA pens
The Range - loose card sheets of grey & brown (or other colours if you’d like to try them.) They also sell Kraft paper coil bound square sketchbooks too.
Pat recommends against buying pencils in sets, if possible, as the paler colours you will need for this class are rarely included.
