Fri 18th February 2pm - 3:30pm workshop demo with Q&A
(UK timings)
This LivePlus™ online workshop is suitable for students of all levels. This class builds beautifully on other classes in the Sketching in Beautiful Blues series, but can also be taken as a stand-alone class.
Workshop details
The third in a BRAND NEW series of sketching workshops with Pat Southern-Pearce, this is a fun, experimental, learn-a-lot workshop all about Blues, Beautiful Blues!
This workshop looks at distance in a sketch and how it can make all the difference in the world. To Pat, the blues in the distance are the key. Gentle touches, a response to the colours that are there, and overlaying. Layering blues, both far away and up close, can create a real feeling of being there, a sense of place, very simply and easily. A rather special workshop this one: you’ll be able to relax and feel your sketches growing and will leave with the confidence to look at distance with new eyes and know how to capture it.
Offering elements of 'work-along with Pat' and elements of 'watch and learn', this exciting sketching workshop will soon have you smiling and saying “Yes!! I can do this!! Wow!!" After the demo you will be sent a link to the recording, which you can watch and sketch along with as many times as you wish for thirty days.
Specific skills you will learn at the workshop
Equipment & materials list

Plus, Pat recommends any / all of the following for those that would like to add to their materials:
Links to suppliers
Amazon UK - Peter Pauper watercolour crayons
Jacksons Arts online - Caran D’Ache & Holbein pencils available to purchase singly
Hobbycraft - POSCA pens
The Range - loose card sheets of grey & brown (or other colours if you’d like to try them.) They also sell Kraft paper coil bound square sketchbooks too.
