This three-part LivePlus™ online course is ideal for beginners and improvers. You do not need to be able to draw or paint in the traditional sense to enjoy this course - all you need is an open mind! This course is for anyone who wants to push their boundaries and is willing to explore & experiment.
Workshop details
This brand new course is designed to be experimental around the theme of Summer gardens. It is an opportunity to experiment with some mixed media techniques and discover how to combine different media to express your ideas and observations of colour , pattern and texture and bring richness to your work.
Each week we will focus on different elements including line, colour, pattern , mark-making, and surface texture. We will also explore specific painting and mixed media techniques including drawing, collage, layering, and painting. Jo will inspire us by showing us a selection of her own work and that of other artists, and there will be an added focus on colour mixing and combinations.
Each session will offer demos, guidance, and discussion, as we experiment with ideas and approaches to combine methods and materials with a practical techniques based approach. Offering elements of 'work-along with Jo' and elements of 'watch and learn', you will be each be encouraged to develop your own personal theme with guidance.
After each class you will be given a link to the recording, which you can watch as many times as you wish for thirty days.
