Workshop Details
It is said that a pet is a person's best friend and many people are now enjoying the companionship of a small furry animal. In this workshop, you will be learning how to create your own doggy friend or, of course a warm furry cat.
The class is all about sculpting with wool and working in three dimensions with the felting needle. We will be using lovely soft Scandinavian wool to create a realistic coat for the dog and merino wool for the cat's fur. Needle felting is also known as dry-felting, and is made using felting needles which have small nicks in the stem of the needle that knit fibres together when the needle is pushed into the wool repeatedly. This method is used to sculpt many different animal and other shapes, it is also a highly addictive craft.

Materials are not included in the booking fee. All materials will be provided by the tutor at a cost of £15 payable to the tutor on the day.
