This one-day workshop is suitable for those with some experience of their sewing machine and those at a more intermediate level.
Workshop Details
Create a beautiful 3D wrap suitable for use with LED string lights or a battery operated tea-light candle. In this workshop you will make a free standing artwork approx 30 x 22 cms depicting a street scene with some 'windows' cut out so that the piece may be lit from behind. It can be used as a nightlight all year round, or even used as a Christmas decoration. The scene can be completed as either a “Winter” or “Snowy” Townscape, let your creativity loose and add as little or as much detail as you like. Make your street scene unique to you. The piece is further embellished with paint and free machine embroidery.
You will receive tuition in the free motion technique and be given written instructions on the construction of the art work. The tutor will also show you how to create your own painted fabric for future projects. By the end of the busy, but fun day you will have created the basic design and completed much of the stitching. The written instructions will enable you to easily finish the work at home.
