This two-day workshop is suitable for complete beginners and those with experience
Workshop Details
Traditional frame baskets have an enduring appeal. Each participants will create a unique basket from dry hoops and flexible willow weavers. You can choose to make your basket with a top handle or side handles. After learning to lash and form ribs you will shape the bowl . The final stages of trimming will reveal your stylish creation.
Skills / Techniques Covered
Materials
Materials are not included in the booking fee. All materials will be provided by the tutor. The approximate cost of these will be £20 , payable to the tutor during the workshop. The items you will need to bring with you are listed below.
Students - please bring with you
An apron and sharp secateurs if you have them
For those with basketry tools, please bring snips/secateurs and a work knife
