This workshop is suitable for complete beginners and those with experience of Powertex
Workshop Details
A really fun class to make an animal sculpture using Powertex art products & textiles. Choose to make a highland cow, sheep, goat, or reindeer (or pretty much any animal with a leg at each corner and shaggy hair!) Other animals MAY be possible – please ask in advance of the class.
You will cover a number of techniques including building a simple armature, mixing air-drying clay, wet dip sculpting techniques and mixing/dry brushing with pigments. The workshop is ideal for beginners, new to Powertex. You will discover creative talents you didn't know you had with this exciting and versatile medium. Examples of other projects that can be achieved using Powertex will be available to view during the class as inspiration.
Sculptures are approx 30cm long by 15cm tall. The course is designed to teach people how to make animal sculptures using simple techniques. The sculptures are suitable for display inside or outside after drying, but as designed to be portable to get them home from the course.

Materials
Materials are not included in your booking fee. All materials will be provided by the tutor. The approximate cost of these will be £25, payable to the tutor during the class. Cash or card payment is possible.
Students - please bring with you:
It is advisable to bring some bubble wrap & a cardboard box of a suitable size to transport your sculpture home.
