This one-day workshop is suitable for beginners with a little experience and those at a more intermediate level
Workshop Details
Be inspired by trees; autumn and winter colour, a lone tree on the horizon, tall poplars marching across the landscape in majestic lines, woodland with glimpses of light and the landscape beyond or look up close at the pattern and detail in tree bark and wood grain. Develop your expressive skills using painterly mark making, creating personal design ideas drawing out the essence of trees within the landscape, celebrating autumn and winter colour and structure.
Work with creative processes using a combination of colour, texture and line with layered papers, cloth, thread, and fibres to create unique tree inspired tactile surfaces that you can then take home to use in your mixed media projects and worked with machine or hand stitch in your own time.

- A small selection of personal photographs or sketches to inspire, taking autumn and winter trees as a theme (the tutor will also bring resources as inspiration)
- A selection of brushes, for use with acrylic paint
- An apron or overall; please wear suitable clothing
