This one-day, onsite wreath-making and decorations workshop is suitable for all levels including complete beginners
Workshop Details
In this one-day workshop we will be having fun with Christmas wreaths and table decorations! We will make both a door wreath and a table decoration using a range of fresh and decorative materials. There is flexibility to make a few extra items during the day if you wish, for example scented hanging pomanders and tree decs. With festive music to see us through the day, you will be all set for the seasonal festivities.
Using floristry techniques which will be taught on the day, we will design and make these festive items. The wreath will be prepared in the morning session then after a festive themed lunch, we will move onto the table centre and optional decorations. Nature has provided some beautiful objects just waiting to be collected and combined into little pieces of art, so you are encouraged to bring a range of foraged materials with you. It’s NOT ESSENTIAL to bring anything as all materials will be provided (see below).
Skills/Techniques Covered
Materials
Materials are not included in your booking fee but will be provided by the tutor the approximate cost of these will be £25 - £30, payable to the tutor during the workshop. We encourage you to bring along nice found natural objects, some suggestions are listed below. We will also raid the Ardington School garden for fresh ivy, yew, hawthorn, buddleia heads etc.
The tutor will not have the facility to take card payments for materials in the workshops. Please remember to bring cash for these.
Please Bring With You
We advise that you do not buy any materials required for a class more than two weeks in advance, because occasionally it is cancelled due to low enrolment.
