ArtTalk details
An entertaining tour through food history from Apples – the original food according to the Bible - to Zebra and a look at the more unexpected foods that have been eaten – and yes people in Paris in the 1870s did eat Zebra……
What we eat today is a mixture of custom and availability, with influences from pre-historic experimentation to modern inventions such as the microwave and freezer. Explore some of the turning points and unusual tastes from past meals - both every day and on special occasions – from Dormice (blame the Romans) to Pies (a British specialty).
