This two-part series of LivePlus™ online workshops is suitable for students of all levels. This is a work-along workshop and so we would encourage students to have their materials to hand, ready to participate live during the class.
Workshop details
Working along with Pat in this fascinating workshop, you will be immersed in the subtleties and quiet beauty of Winter with its light-filled misty skies and distant blues.
You’ll work freely on atmospheric skies: letting go, catching the feel. You’ll overlay colours with gentle subtlety introducing just the slightest touches of warmth for balance. You’ll bring in darks in different ways for softness and precision. You’ll look differently at the shapes of winter trees. You’ll draw them with a light touch and sensitivity and grey-blue & grey-green backgrounds will set the cool gentle feel and give unity.
A pale colour palette is the key, balanced by darks and the odd flash of sun or brightness. It’ll be a joy…. and lots of fun, too!
Specific skills you will learn at the workshop

All Ardington ONLINE classes and talks are accompanied by their own online blackboard. Helpful and easy to use, they enable students and tutors to share resources, ideas and photos with each other – just as you would in a classroom environment.
Pat will offer personalised critique / feedback via the blackboard for any work uploaded by students within thirty days of the final class ending. You will be sent the link to access your blackboard in the week before your class begins and will have access for at least sixty days after the class ends.
After the live session has finished on Zoom, we will share the link to view the recording on the blackboard. You can watch the recording as many times as you like for sixty days.
