Workshop details
Learn to sketch buildings with pen and wash in this three-part series with Jonathan.
Using waterproof sketching pens and watercolour paints, we will tackle a different painting each week, using photos supplied in advance. As the series progresses, you will be shown how to sketch buildings in the landscape, face on in the high street, and focusing on architectural detail.
You will finish the series with three completed paintings and an understanding of how to sketch buildings from your own reference sources in the future.

All Ardington ONLINE classes and talks are accompanied by their own online blackboard. Helpful and easy to use, they enable students and tutors to share resources, ideas and photos with each other – just as you would in a classroom environment.
Jonathan will offer personalised critique / feedback during the final session for any students that would like it. There will also be feedback available via the blackboard for any work uploaded by students within thirty days of the final class ending. You will be sent the link to access your blackboard in the week before your class begins and will have access for at least sixty days after the class ends.
After the live session has finished on Zoom, we will share the link to view the recording on the blackboard. You can watch the recording as many times as you like for sixty days.
