This LivePlus™ online workshop is suitable for everyone. You needn't have the materials ready whilst watching this online demonstration – it is a time to watch, ask and learn.
Workshop details
This is a pilot workshop for an exciting new series we are developing called 'Just One Thing'. Born from the traditional concept of 'single object studies', each class will explore one item in many different ways; an important lesson in observation for any student, but given a fun and informal twist!
When life hands you lemons, make art! Join Karen to explore a myriad of ways to work with a lemon as your inspiration – you'll be amazed at what you can do with just one thing. Think wider than a gin & tonic, or a spoonful of lemon curd, this humble fruit can be the starting point for printing, painting, pattern and much more. We will observe it, dissect it, peel it and push it to it’s lemony limits.
Covering a variety of techniques and approaches, we will create a collection of images that can be collated into a simple book or used in their own right as cards and wall art. Join us for a light-hearted look at lovely lemons and see what you can squeeze out of them!
Specific skills you will learn at the workshop

Additional Information
All Ardington ONLINE classes and talks are accompanied by their own online blackboard. Helpful and easy to use, they enable students and tutors to share resources, ideas and photos with each other – just as you would in a classroom environment.
Karen will offer personalised critique / feedback via the blackboard for any work uploaded by students within thirty days of the class ending. You will be sent the link to access your blackboard in the week before your class begins and will have access for at least sixty days after the class ends.
After the live session has finished on Zoom, we will share the link to view the recording on the blackboard. You can watch the recording as many times as you like for sixty days.
We suggest that you do not buy any specialist materials more than one week in advance as, occasionally, a class may be cancelled due to low enrolment.
