In this talk, Martin continues his series on late 19th century French painting and artists.
In this talk, Martin looks at the genius of Georges Seurat, whose tragically short life packed in so much. We will explore Seurat’s ideas and the development of Pointillism. The famous 'A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte' will be examined in close detail along with many other masterpieces. This talk includes many original photographs.
Martin will provide a list of helpful books and links to further explore on a PDF following the talk via the blackboard.
The talk will last for 60 minutes, followed by an open Q&A session.
