Workshop details
Regulars at Ardington will recognise the wonderful work of Liam Biswell; his printing classes have been filling classrooms onsite with us for a while!  We are delighted to be bringing that experience ONLINE, for the very first time, in this exciting three-part exploration of the screenprinting process.

With Liam at the helm, we will be learning how to create bold, vibrant and unique prints. Throughout the three sessions you will be taught how to produce multi-layer prints, focusing on registration, placement and positioning of these various layers to achieve a balanced and effective composition.

In week one, we'll start with a slightly longer class and an introduction to the equipment/kit and the screenprint technique. Liam will share examples of his work, followed by a live demonstration. In this class we will be producing a one layer print, and you will be encouraged to produce lots more before next week.

In week two, we will be looking into registration / positioning techniques and how to layer your prints accurately and effectively. The focus will be on printing a second and third layer. Again, Liam will be encouraging everyone to keep working in between classes and to share photos of your work on the class blackboard.

Week three is all about experimentation! In this final session, we will explore various techniques to develop and enhance our prints. We'll experiment with collage, mixed media and textures. Liam will be showing further examples of his work and will demonstrate how to develop your prints further; helping you to create something unique and intriguing.

Equipment & materials list
Materials are not included in the course fee. All the materials and equipment you will need are listed below.

Liam has created a kit to accompany this class, which is available to purchase for £46 (inc. P&P, UK only.)  Details of how to purchase will be sent to students after booking.  The kit contains:

Additional Information
All Ardington ONLINE classes and talks are accompanied by their own online blackboard. Helpful and easy to use, they enable students and tutors to share resources, ideas and photos with each other – just as you would in a classroom environment.

Liam will offer personalised critique / feedback via the blackboard for any work uploaded by students within thirty days of the class ending. You will be sent the link to access your blackboard in the week before your class begins and will have access for at least sixty days after the class ends.

After the live session has finished on Zoom, we will share the link to view the recording on the blackboard.  You can watch the recording as many times as you like for sixty days.

We suggest that you do not buy any specialist materials more than two weeks in advance as, occasionally, a class may be cancelled due to low enrolment.
