Workshop details
Pat is known and loved for her work on different toned backgrounds and for some time, her go-to favourites have been kraft ochre and grey. But recently home from a 2-month-long tour of Australia and Tasmania and its harsh bright sunlight, her work is now a glow of colour and energy, much of it on glowing yellow grounds.
This two-part workshop will be such fun! You’ll work on golden yellow grounds. You’ll experiment with layering and underlaying with whites, to make colours pop. Pat will encourage you to relax into it all and catch the feel. She will lead you through skills, opening up all sorts of possibilities and it will be exciting and eye opening. Her foray into glowing backgrounds has brought an extra magic to her work and she can’t wait to share it with you.
This workshop is ground-breaking... Pat has only taught it once…and that was experimentally and spontaneously, over two days and on multi-colours, for her final workshop in Tasmania. It is suitable for beginners and experienced alike. DO join us!
Specific skills you will learn at the workshop
Materials are not included in the course fee. All the materials and equipment you will need are listed below.

Additional Information
All Ardington ONLINE classes and talks are accompanied by their own online blackboard. Helpful and easy to use, they enable students and tutors to share resources, ideas and photos with each other – just as you would in a classroom environment.
Pat will offer personalised critique / feedback via the blackboard for any work uploaded by students within thirty days of the final class ending. You will be sent the link to access your blackboard in the week before your class begins and will have access for at least sixty days after the class ends.
After the live session has finished on Zoom, we will share the link to view the recording on the blackboard. You can watch the recording as many times as you like for sixty days.
