Join Sarah to create a mini textile landscape which you will then turn into a small coin purse in just a day. There is nothing better than learning new techniques and creating something decorative and useful at the same time. You will be able to choose to create a Spring/Summer/Autumn or Winter landscape.
Skills / Techniques Covered
You will work on a wool felt base and use different textiles and various stitching techniques – straight stitching, free motion machine embroidery to create your purse and will then further embellish the pieces with hand stitching, embroidery and beads. Finally you will line your purse and attach a metal clasp.
Materials
Materials are not included in the booking fee. Some materials will be provided by the tutor. The approximate cost of these will be £15, payable to the tutor during the workshop (please bring cash or card - no cheques sorry)
NB You will be asked to select a felt colour before the course.
Students - please bring with you:
We advise that you do not buy any materials required for a course more than two weeks in advance, because occasionally a course is cancelled due to low enrolment.
