Workshop Details
This fun exciting class will transform all your unwanted or leftover textiles into a wonderful new stash of fabrics. Using a variety of simple techniques such as basic machine stitching, bonding, layering, and heating, you will be able to create a wealth of new textures.
During the two days, various designs of bonding and machine stitching in will be explored, as well as using layers of velvet and nylon sheer fabrics to create a completely new surfaces. Applying heat using an iron and a heat gun can also add unusual textures.
A very exciting two days that could challenge the way you look at fabrics in the future.
Materials
Materials are not included in the booking fee. Some materials will be available for purchase from the tutor from £6 - £10
Students Please bring:
We advise that you do not buy any materials required for a course more than two weeks in advance, because occasionally a course is cancelled due to low enrolment.

Students Please bring:
- A stash of scraps and various materials.
- Sewing machine and instruction manual.
- Various threads, variegated ones if you have them.
- A metre of Bondawab, (you will be able to purchase from the tutor)
- Some old sheeting or similar for backing.
- Any nylon organza fabric if you have some.
