This two-day, onsite workshop is suitable for beginners and those wishing to refresh.
Workshop Details
Create an Elf or Fairy House for your home or garden using recycled textiles, embellishments & more!.
With a removable roof, your finished house could be used for storage, or why not add some battery-operated fairy lights to shine through windows when the fairies or elves are home?
You will be using a non-toxic, environmentally friendly medium in a number of different ways to produce your elf or fairy house, using a large glass jar as the base. During the day, you will learn how create sculpt using everyday household materials, before adding layers of recycled textiles & hand-crafted embellishments to decorate your house – add flowers & butterflies, or decorate your house for Christmas with garlands & baubles. Add colour using pigments mixed with a water-based varnish. Once dry, your house is suitable for outdoor display.
Please note that this is a messy art, as you will be mixing your own air-drying clay & using fabric hardeners, so old comfortable clothes are strongly recommended.

Materials
Materials are not included in your booking fee. All materials will be provided by the tutor. The approximate cost of these will be £25, payable to the tutor during the class.
Please bring with you:
This class can be messy, so please wear old clothes, tie back long hair & remove rings & bracelets before attending.
