Course details
This is a magical workshop that will transform your script capitals into delightful pen drawn and flourished 'Fainting Fancies'.  Although the letters can appear complex, we will be pursuing subtle and whispering details in our designs. The supplies are relatively few, but you can easily add faint hints of colour and glimmering sparkles here and there if you want to enhance the mystery and magic.

We begin by exploring pointed pen flourishes within, and around, the letters utilizing the counter spaces. As we increase the complexity, we will introduce pointed pen etching and shading techniques. These designs can be practiced on envelopes and cards, expanded into borders, or become detailed monogram designs suitable for framing. Flourished cartouches, accent strokes, ornaments, and pen drawn florals will embellish your 'Fainting Fancies'. 

This class is open to all skill levels but does assume a basic knowledge of the shapes of script letters.  You never know where the path may lead as you let your imagination soar; the possibilities for these fanciful letters are truly endless.
