Class details
Have you already tried gelli plate printing, got hooked and ended up with a stack of prints. Are you now wondering what to do with them all? If so this workshop is for you! We will be spending two hours exploring lots of ways to use those beautiful prints.
We will look at ways of enhancing the prints with pens, pencils and markers as well as using paints and a negative painting technique to transform the prints. Janina will also show you how to make things with the prints including a folded origami style box, beads, mini books and key rings.
Please be aware that we will not be doing any gelli plate printing on this workshop, but will be focusing on what to do with the prints you have already made.
Specific skills you will learn
- Using pens, pencils and markers on top of gelli prints
- How to make a simple origami box
- How to make and decorate rolled paper beads
- How to cover a mini book with prints
Additional Information
All Ardington ONLINE classes and talks are accompanied by their own online class page. Helpful and easy to use, these private pages enable students and tutors to share resources, ideas and photos with each other – before, during, and after class.
Janina will offer personal feedback for any work submitted via the class page within thirty days of the class ending. The link to access the page will be shared via email in the days leading up to the class.
We suggest that you do not buy any specialist materials more than one week in advance as, occasionally, a class may be cancelled due to low enrolment.
