​Course details
Join Heather to create a beautiful festive card design that combines gilding, watercolour painting, and coloured pencil. Using coloured pencil over watercolour allows the best of both mediums to shine through your design. A little sparkle of gilding will bring your design over the top.

Our drawing will focus on either a Long-Tailed Tit or a Blue Bird, but students may choose any bird to illustrate. We will place our bird in a festive winter wreath and our final design will be suitable for framing as well as reproducing as a holiday card.

This wonderful class will polish your drawing, painting and illumination skills. Students will be encouraged to draw their own designs, but guides will be provided if you just want to paint along.  We welcome students of all skill levels.

All Ardington ONLINE classes and talks are accompanied by their own online class page. Helpful and easy to use, these private pages enable students and tutors to share resources, ideas and photos with each other – before, during, and after class.
