Talk details
Few artists have left behind a body of work, both in words and visual imagery, in the way that the romantic artist and poet William Blake did. His career is a fascinating odyssey through turbulent times. Blake's world is richly imaginative and complex.
Martin’s talk looks at the life of one of England’s finest artists, and the highlights of his career. The talk also considers Blake’s extraordinary legacy and influence upon the art of our own times.
Martin will provide a list of helpful books and links to further explore on a PDF following the talk via the class information page.
